About The Author

Lauren Oliver

Lauren Oliver comes from a family of writers and so has always (mistakenly) believed that spending hours in front of the computer every day, mulling over the difference between “chortling” and “chuckling,” is normal. She has always been an avid reader.

She is the author of the YA novel Before I Fall and the Delirium trilogy: Delirium, Pandemonium, and Requiem, which have been translated into more than thirty languages and are New York Times and international bestselling novels.

Lauren Oliver is known as well for the middle-grade readers, The Spindlers and Liesl & Po, which was a 2012 E. B. White Read-Aloud Award nominee. Lauren’s newest YA novel, Panic, has been published on March 4th, 2014 and has been optioned for film by Universal Studios.

A graduate of the University of Chicago and NYU’s MFA program, she is also the co-founder of the boutique literary development company Paper Lantern Lit.

Later on, I began working on my own stories, and keeping company with a lot of imaginary friends.”
