From book to movie

The waiting is over (at least for the trailer) and I am so happy to finally be able to see a little bit of what I hope to be an amazing movie.
There is no need for me to tell you how some scenes gave me goosebumps or how they made me wish to know a way to travel through time to see this movie right now – all the fans in the worlds have felt the same, so we are all on the same page.

Straight to the point: you can access the trailer now on iTunes or YouTube

For the ones that still don’t know what the story is about (not that I think there are many), this is the synopsis:

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister’s place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

I can’t wait for March to see the movie, as you know how much I love this series and how much I’ve been waiting to see something, anything about it.
To be honest, I still think there is something off about the quality of the Hunger Games teasers (both the first teaser and this one), but my enthusiasm is strong enough and I still hope that the movie will be as great as the book.

♥ Peeta ♥ Hunger Games – Enjoy it!
