About the book:

Oblivion by Kelly Creagh

This electrifying conclusion to the Nevermore trilogy takes one last trip to the dream world of Edgar Allan Poe to reveal the intertwined fates of Isobel and Varen.

The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins? —Edgar Allan Poe

The fine line between life and death blurred long ago for Isobel Lanley. After a deadly confrontation with Varen in the dreamworld, she’s terrified to return to that desolate and dangerous place. But when her nightmares resume, bleeding into reality, she is left with no choice. Varen’s darkness is catching up to her. To everything. Threatening to devour it all.

Isobel fears for her world. For her sanity and Varen’s—especially after a fresh and devastating loss. To make matters worse, the ghostly demon Lilith wants Varen for her own, and she will do anything to keep him in her grasp—anything.

Can Isobel ever find her happy ending? Worlds collide and fates are sealed in this breathtaking finale to the Nevermore trilogy.

Expected publication: August 26th 2014  July 28th 2015 by Atheneum Books for Young Readers

The excitement

So, I had preordered the Enshadowed (book #2 in Nevermore series) a while ago, and I just received it in my mail with this beautiful surprise: A first look at the Oblivion cover and a way too short sneak peek 🙂

When I saw it I thought my heart would burst out of my chest, it made me that happy!
And I couldn’t wait to share it with everyone else:

This is my favourite cover so far in the Nevermore series and I hope to love the story just as much!
Dear Kelly, please hurry up!

Later Edits

#1 On the cover reveal:
It also felt nice to realise that people actually got see the look of a this book from me, for the first time. And for the ones that thought that the final cover will be black-and-white… you are so vey cute, but don’t worry your pretty little heads, the cover is fully coloured (like on top), as the above is a picture from my book  – which was obviously printed in black only 😉

#2 On the postponed release date:
Again, one more year of waiting *crying in a corner*
These books are going to be the death of me, I tell you.. I don’t remember ever waiting this much for any other book, in any other series,  but I know it in my heart that this waiting will be well worth it 🙁 Just give it to me already!

I know the feeling, Julie. When I opened the book and skimmed through it and saw the cover I was like a kid on Christmas Eve, LOL

  2. Amelia says:

Wow! This looks so beautiful. Can’t wait to see the colored artwork, not to mention that I’m dying to read the book!

  3. Jo says:

You have no idea how I’m dreaming about this book. I simply can’t wait for it! Is Varen in that sneak peek? 😀

  4. Em says:

I might love this cover the best. Can’t wait!

    • Ari says:

I think they look younger in this picture, so I like it better too. Isobel looked so old in Ensadow as did Varen in the first cover. But I love them all together 😀

  5. Mmarmt says:

    When can we preorder Oblivian?

  6. Cris says:

Could you please explain to us what happens in the small preview of Oblivion?? I’m dying to know what happens but I already own the book on hardcover and can’t afford to buy another copy. Help?? 🙂

    • Ari says:

There is not that much you are missing while waiting for the book to come out. Truth being told, I think I was more excited by the cover preview rather than the sneak peek. Like with the others, the book begins with the prologue, showing bits of the dark world of Edgar Poe… So the sneak peek is an ‘Edgar chapter’ – not that this is a bad thing, but I was sooo hoping for something from Isobel or Varen, judging by the words next to the cover ;))

  7. Julia says:

Aaaaarrrrrhhhhh.. 20freaking15? Oh, come on, they can’t possibly be serious about it, it should have come out this summer *cry cry cry fucking cry*

  8. Megan says:

I’m seriously going to cry. I just got done reading Enshadowed and I LOVE IT. But I must know if Isobel ever brings Varen back. They are my all time favorite couple, just so effing adorable together. Please Kelly, release it sooner so I can stop crying :'(

    • Ari says:

I wish so badly for this book too. Unfortunately we will need to wait until (most probably) July 2015. Hopefully the waiting will be worth it.

  9. nalmend says:

I am seriously crying softly at night ,it has been over a year that I read nevermore and enshadowed and its killing me to know what’s going to happen next , personally I’m hopping oblivion to be in varens perspective ,but at the same time I can’t get enough from Isobel uhg ! This book series makes me a ball of emotions

    • Ari says:

Oh… And imagine how I feel – I read Nevermore back in 2010 and waited almost 2 years for Enshadowed (because the release has been delayed too), and now they’ve postponed this one until mid 2015.

I do love these books, but it’s just too much waiting between them. I really hope to love Oblivion, otherwise I am going to be quite sad as well.
