About The Author

Beth Revis

Beth Revis wrote her first books as a student in classrooms, when the professors did not hold her interest and she jotted down stories instead of taking notes.

Beth writes science fiction and fantasy novels for teens. Her debut novel, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, has been published by Razorbill/Penguin in Spring 2011. Beth is represented by Merrilee Heifetz at Writers House.

Q: How did you get published?

A: “I wrote a book. It sucked. I wrote nine more books. They sucked, too. Meanwhile, I read every single thing I could find on publishing and writing, went to conferences, joined professional organizations, hooked up with fellow writers in critique groups, and didn’t give up. Then I wrote one more book. Then I edited it. When I thought it was “good enough,” I edited it some more until it was better than “good enough,” until it was, in fact, the best I could do. Then I queried it. I had zero publishing credentials, zero publishing connections, zero blurbs. But I had ten years worth of writing practice and publishing research.”

More when the cover has changed and it doesn’t fit the other 2 books *sigh* But this doesn’t mean that I enjoyed it less for that. It was still full of action, suspense and pure awesomeness. We finally get…

A Million Suns
Book #2 in Across the Universe Series
By Beth Revis

“And here we are, in the middle, surrounded by a sea of stars. A million stars.” What an intriguing story.. in a way, even intriguingly sad. This book finds us right where the first one left us. Somewhere between Sol-Earth and Centauri-Earth, suspended in time and space. There is no more Phydus to control the people…

Across the Universe
Book #1 in Across the Universe Series

“A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.” First – the cover is absolutely gorgeous (at least I love it) and this is what made me want to read this book.. And so the myth saying that a book with a great cover is always horrible is busted (just) for the moment ;)) Second,…
